Course: Outdoor Pursuits 16hr First Aid Level 3 (VTQ)
Date: Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th November 2024
Time: 09:00 – 18:00 (please arrive for 08:45 for a prompt start)

Room: Scout Hut / Outside Space
Refreshments: There will be short breaks and a lunch break throughout the
course. Food is not provided by the instructor, however Tea/
coffee/Hot Chocolate and squash will be available.
(Please bring a mug with you for drinks)
Dress: The course will involve participants working on the floor, thus
appropriate clothing is advised, so high heels, short skirts or revealing tops are not recommended.
Due to the nature of this course, participants, should dress according to the weather on the day. This course will involve being indoors and outdoors to support learning. Participants, may end up laying on the floor playing their part as a casualty indoors or outdoors.
(Please note Saturday’s weather is looking particularly wet, so we will likely be inside in restricted spaces)
Equipment: All equipment will be provided by the instructor and each participant will be provided with a student pack to complete activities throughout the course.
To Bring: To support the learning of skills, participant should have with them clothing they would be wearing for their respective outdoor activities. This to enable the participant to practice skills whilst dressed for their respective discipline and support bring a degree of realism to the training, and discuss equipment they carry to support managing a first aid situation.
Sailers – Oilies, boots/watershoes, gloves, waterproofs, Dry bag
Kayaker/Canoeist - Cag, dry trousers/suit, gloves/water shoes, dry bag
Walkers - Full waterproof’s, boots, Rucsac
Certificates: Throughout this Course, each participant will be assessed during each practical exercise/scenario via a short multiple-choice exam at the end of the course. Certificates will be provided to the Lynne Radbone on course completion, to be forwarded to yourselves.
Pre-Course: Each Participant will be required to complete a registration form either prior to or on the morning of the course, to enable certification to be completed.
