CPD Certified Training Approved by Skills for Care

This accredited qualification provides learners with skills to further their first aid training. It is recommended for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator.

Those gaining this qualification will know that cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival.  The recommended course duration is 1 day with a minimum of 6 contact hours.  This course can be taken as a blended course using our video online training to halve the classroom time.

The topics covered by this qualification are regarded by Skills for Health as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.

All successful students will be issued with a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation Certificate detailing their achievement.  To comply with current requirements in the medical, dental, care sector and to meet the AED recommendations of the UK Resuscitation Council guidelines, you must take this qualification again after one year.  Please contact ProTrainings for further information.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements.

This qualification is currently assessed by practical demonstration and written or oral questioning.

The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.

This course gives learners the opportunity to gain a formally recognised regulated qualification. If you require funding, a regulated qualification is often required. Phone us and we can advise if needed. If you choose our course leading to a regulated qualification, there are additional assessment criteria to be undertaken with an instructor and a small extra certification charge.
