CPD Certified Training Approved by Skills for Care

Advanced Pet First Aid level 3 (VTQ) covers much more details about the different injuries and illnesses that can affect dogs and cats. The course has been designed to give the pet owner or pet professional much more information in order to be able to detect early when something is wrong and give the appropriate care.

This course is for the practical part two of the advanced pet first aid course. You must have completed the online advanced pet first aid part first.

The course also covers the anatomy and physiology of animals and different first aid treatments that are available.  Although the treatment is basically the same between dogs and cats, the advanced course has a dedicated section to cats.

This course is a ProTrainings Vocational Training Qualification (VTQ) and is ideal for pet professionals or individuals.

This course can be taken in two ways:

As an online course - With this, you work through the course over 6 hours and learn from the videos but there is no practical module.  We recommend that you complete a practical module locally with one of our approved instructors. With the online-only course, you will just receive a certificate that says Advance Pet First Aid and it will not include the level 3 VTQ qualification.  You can add a practical module at any time and for more details contact us or your local instructor.

As a blended course - Blended training is where you complete the online module (6 hours) and a practical module (approx 6 hours) locally with an approved instructor where you also cover practical subjects to gain the full qualification certificate.

This qualification is also available with an Endorsed Certificate from TQUK, for an extra charge if required.

The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.

This is the classroom-only part 2 of a 2-part blended course. Before taking this course, you MUST complete the online course.
