First Aid tailored to ACU motorcyclists and anyone involved in ACU events.
Motorcycle riders face heightened risks on the road and are often the first aiders at the scene of a bike accident. However, tending to such accidents brings its own dangers, including the potential of being struck by passing vehicles. This specialised training course not only teaches basic life support skills but also addresses various injuries unique to motorcyclists and emphasises safety while attending to roadside incidents.
This comprehensive one-day course is conveniently available either locally or at your motorcycle club. It has received the endorsement of the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) for the ProTrainings ACU First Aid for Motorcyclists Level 3 (VTQ) qualification, a widely recognised certification specifically tailored to address first aid in motorcycle-related accidents.
The ACU, serving as the internationally recognised National Governing Body for motorcycle sport in the British Isles (excluding Northern Ireland), plays a pivotal role in promoting motorcycle sports globally. Their influence has been instrumental in the successful organisation of world-renowned events like Moto GP, World Superbikes, the Isle of Man TT Races, the Motocross of Nations, and Trials Des Nations.
Importantly, all our first aid courses adhere to the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021, meeting the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) standards. This ensures that participants are equipped with up-to-date, effective first aid skills, crucial for addressing the unique challenges faced by motorcyclists on and off the road.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
