In this version of the course, learners will gain confidence in understanding the protocols behind moving & position of people. The theory will cover topics like a care bed, hoist, wheelchair, transfer board, a slide sheet, slings, turntable and others. All other areas of the course will cover theoretical content as outlined in the learning outcomes.
This course is designed to meet the HSE Manual Handling Regulations 1992 requirements as well as other relevant principles and guidelines. It also includes a module on slips, trips and falls.
