An introduction to Early Years Language and Development
Language development in humans is a process starting early in life. Infants start without knowing a language, yet by 10 months, babies can distinguish speech sounds and engage in babbling. This Developing Language in Early Years (VTQ) course is designed to support you if you work in a setting where you are around children.
By completing this course, you will learn how to apply the talk, listen and cuddle model and you will be introduced to real life scenarios on how to best support children in your work environment.
This course will cover the importance of communication by helping you to understand why you use certain words, how you tone your communication and how your body language is a form of speech. You will also learn why nursery rhymes play a significant role in the development of children and how to develop a child with their reading and story telling.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
